We live in a world were I can emulate any game I want from older generations and I'm playing NES Tetris, I like Tetris a lot... I also might have autism, or something 'tism adjacent. I don't know
It should be normal to disagree with people and not hate them and want to kill them over it, especially minor things. Current culture tries to say if they like chocolate ice cream and you prefer vanilla that you two should hate each other and never speak and this is just maximum stupidity. Obviously I'm using the ice cream as an example, and I've never known that to be the case with ice cream, just showing how ridiculous it can get if we keep going like this.
If you have an old laptop or PC or mini pc or anything do not throw it out, it can be turned into a whole bunch of useful things. You can make a home server out of it, a retro game station, you can make a self hosted movie machine out of it and so much more. I can speak from my recent experience setting up a crappy laptop to be a retro game machine, it's quite shocking how much it can actually handle. If your computer isn't fried it can still be useful is my point here. Throwing it out is just wasteful honestly.
I was born many year later but I'll admit it, 80's kids had the best gaming experience growing up. They played all the classics(Mario, Mega Man, Contra, Castlevania, and so on) got to experience legitimate arcades and then we're still able to play the good stuff from the 90's as well.
