The four martyrs, Claudius, Castor, Sempronian, and Nicostratus, were skilled sculptors in Pannonia, tasked with crafting pagan idols. Witnessing the unwavering faith and miraculous healings performed by Saint Simplicius, they were moved to embrace Christianity. Refusing to continue their idolatrous work, they destroyed the idols they had created. Facing persecution under Emperor Diocletian, they remained steadfast in their belief, enduring torture and ultimately giving their lives for Christ. Let us pray for their intercession, that we too may find the courage to renounce false idols and live according to God's will. #Martyrs #Faith #Courage #OrthodoxChristian #Intercession
Martyr John, a merchant known for his integrity, was in Crimea when a Venetian merchant, driven by envy, falsely accused him of renouncing Christianity to convert to Islam. Despite being urged to deny Christ and embrace Islam, John steadfastly refused. He was subjected to brutal tortures: beaten, tied to a horse and dragged through the streets, and finally beheaded. Even in death, his face shone with divine light. His relics, later moved to Suceava, Romania, are a source of miracles and blessings. Holy Martyr John, pray to God for us! #SaintJohn #OrthodoxChristian #Martyr #Faith #Prayer
