The largest city in the United States elected a democratic socialist last night I know a lot of people think he will be a disaster, a kind of one-off. I disagree, I think this is the start of a wave of victories for democratic socialist politicians/ policies. Which, in turn, will create a counter wave of pseudo fascist 'mano duro' type politicians/ policies. (Alternatively you can argue that last night was the counter-wave. Either way, these two trends actually support each other and give the other its reason for existing.) The nation, conscious that the status quo is NOT working for them will seek solutions at the margins and each of us in our own echo chambers will be convinced whatever side we are on is just. This is takes us down a dangerous road Or... There's a third choice for those who want to reject the status quo #Bitcoin
