Please stop using acronyms without first defining them-- it's bad for onboarding new users.

For the past 9 years I've been trying to orange pill my family. It's been mostly fail after fail. I always gush about proof of work, censorship resistance, Byzantine's general's problem etc. but today I realized I've been doing it wrong. I don't think my family realizes that the central banks are insolvent. I don't think they know the dangers of fractional reserve banking, quantitative easing, and monetary debasement. I need to shut up about Bitcoin and instead talk about the root issues.

My headcanon is that the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory is Satoshi. Just like they invented TOR, they could have invented Bitcoin. Only the stakes are so much larger with Bitcoin that they were sworn to secrecy.
