Updated version of Debian Linux 13.2 has been released. You can simply run the `apt` command to get all upgrades. Those who frequently install updates using `apt` won't have to update many packages, and most such updates are included in the point release.
Very cool project. System.css is a pure CSS library for UIs resembling Apple System OS between 1984–1991, specifically System 6 which was final monochrome Mac OS. It uses no JavaScript and is customizable.
He’s Been Right About AI for 40 Years. Now He Thinks Everyone Is Wrong. Yann LeCun invented many fundamental components of modern AI. Now he’s convinced most in his field have been led astray by the siren song of large language models. Once again he stated that the current buzz around LLM is going to die and claimed that there is no way anyone can build AGI with LLM. He repeated his claim that the cats are smarter than the LLM https://www.wsj.com/tech/ai/yann-lecun-ai-meta-0058b13c?st=19Ec8H&reflink=article_copyURL_share paywall free link https://archive.ph/WljFC
I saw people getting upset over Rust bugs causing issues in Ubuntu for replacements for sudo and base utils. Let me tell you, all SDKs and languages have issues. Rust, by default, avoids many issues, especially memory safety. As long as they are fixing those bugs and compatibility issues, you are good to go. This is why using an LTS release is important, and they provide an easy way to switch between GNU and Rust utils

what’s one Linux feature you swear by but no one else talks about?
I think nobody wants AI in Firefox, Mozilla Does anyone wants AI in anything? Microsoft went batshit crazy about AI and so the others are following them. Google felt like they will lose to OpenAI in search biz and again they went crazy like Microsoft. AI in current format is a huge waste of resources and copyright theft.
Some developers spend 30-45 minutes writing a LLM prompt and tweaking it to get the desired outputs. I write an awk one liner to get data out of a 30,000 line CSV file, convert it to the desired format, and then generate a PDF and send it to the client, all in under 5 minutes. If you don't know what you are looking for and have 0 knowledge of programming or Unix CLI tools, no amount of LLM can help you. You'll just burn resources.
