I knew about live staking trees but never gave it much thought until
@AC commented on one of my posts awhile back when I was propagating hybrid willow cuttings. I thought the climate I’m in would be too hot and too dry to have any success if I wasn’t tending to them daily.
Well, March 4 I cut this branch off of a weeping willow growing on the creek bank and shoved it in the ground. I’ve splashed some water around it maybe once or twice a week when taking fresh water to my sheep. 3 months later its a thriving little tree.
