Israel claimed Hamas fired on the IDF first .. don't forget last time the IDF blew themselves up (hit unexploded ordnance) and 'retaliated' against Gaza. even if some Hamas fighter fired upon the IDF, no reasonable person/group/nation would take that as a serious breach of a ceasefire, nor would they be targeting civilians before or after the "breach"
