Has anyone read this? Is it just a shitcoin thing or there's a vision behind it? #grownostr
As some of you may know, there was a war couple of days earlier. First I had to run out of the town, and then move cuz my house was technically in a war zone. let alone the internet blackout. There's a lot I wanted to talk about, but for now, let's just say MASSES ARE ASSES. image
What about building Substack on top of #Nostr? And like, use zaps for subscriptions? Imagine encrypting posts on relays and then only subscribers can decrypt them with their signatures. I think it's possible cryptographically. Has there been any effort? #asknostr

I think it's fair to say that I just watched the most brilliant YouTube video! Curtis Yarvin and Robin Hanson (with David Friedman there too) discuss two of the sharpest ideas about how a government should be run.

The only viable #libertarian revolution will be a bottom-up, market-driven one. one that's driven by individuals economic incentives. The beauty is that States recognize the coming catastrophe and kneel to #bitcoin for their survival! View quoted note β†’ View quoted note β†’ #grownostr
States are driven by incentives like any entity. their primary incentives are CRIME and SURVIVAL. Without a survival threat, they commit crime as deep as they can. Only deep catastrophe triggers economic reforms (seen globally in 20th/21st century market reforms). After all, why grant freedom when things are "passing"? Reforms aren't about liberty, but the political class's recognition of crisis and act of survival. #grownostrΒ #libertariansim
The core flaw of #libertarianism isn't its vision, but how it tries to get there. A "top-down" political strategy–voting–is ill-suited. Libertarianism truly hinges on self-regulation, NOT MERELY LESS GOVERNMENT. Without mature private entities to step in, non-interventionism in foreign policy in a world that Putin and Bin Laden live is not an ideal. That's why a libertarian shouldn't engage in favor of any politician. #grownostr
