Through inflation they both steal your savings and devalue your labour/work/life at the same time. And they keep doing this continuously over years and years. But the later is far more evil than the stealing savings because it is cumulative! This is an order of magnitude more evil...
That's why things are getting more expensive rather than getting cheaper although productivity increases exponentially.
