If it is effective but antithetical to agenda, label it impractical and unrealistic while associating the messenger with fringe lunacy. If it is already 'different,' most of the outgrouping work will be done in response to the initial suggestion, without need for further intervention. This works great to diffuse people who understand this stuff but would never employ it- those who would instead aim to explain and educate awareness or a way to defend against it. You know, normal people. It doesn't work well on the psychopaths who would be willing to manipulate that way though. They lack conscience and learned this stuff like second nature growing up in dysfunctional power-conflicted homes. They act 'normal' through superficial choices you believe in, (such as choosing a pair of glasses that makes you think they are 'intellectual' rather than becoming an actual intellectual). In fact, it works so well on truthtellers and so poorly on liars, that a good percentage will doubt the one who is transparent about it while holding the charismatic deceivers, who would never admit the existence or awareness of such tactics, up as a standard of expert against whom to compare the altruistic former. The immoral agent's premeditated performative displays of constructed bioconfidence signals that unmeritoriously and baselessly presume heirarchical advantage as if by birthright seem to operate on the unconscious more effectively than the truthteller's attempts. This is thought locally to be a result of a temporary hypnotic societal condition, as mere awareness of these dynamics renders the incomplete individual as merely immature and dishonest and best redeemed elsewhere, rather than the oracle his machinations project.
