Had a guest on my interview show last night talking about social media for small business. Had a great chat but one exchange struck me. We were talking "new" social media options and she mentioned she is on Bluesky. I perked up and threw Nostr out there and how excited I was about how great it is to see all of the content posted. Not just what the platform finds appropriate or profitable and she agreed. Her reply makes me wonder if that is what she also actually wants. She said something down the line of....when we see stuff we don't like over there we say Hey that's not the type of thing we do here. I said I like it on Nostr where I just decide not to see what I don't like, and let people post whatever they want. It could have been an interesting conversation at a different time or setting. Curate your own feed folks. See what you want, block what you want, but don't censor what someone wants to say.
