Day 1 of Christmas* vacation: Farah wakes me up at quarter to five chasing one of her toys all over the place and I can't get back to sleep. I predict a nap sometime today. *We were told by the school board to make o mention of Christmas because apparently the timing of this two-week break was just picked haphazardly and has nothing to do with our Christian roots or anything. Now I am a big believer in a secular state and all, but can we stop pretending we have no history? Yes, I'm a little cranky.
