As others have remarked, this is exactly the line Andreessen Horowitz and others have been pushing. There's a whole Silicon Valley movement toward military contracts (because that's where the money is). These editorials read like a full-on ad campaign for tech's next big unicorn: war.
Is the NYT Editorial Board OK? It warns that we're sliding into authoritarianism...while also writing an editorial series (Pulitzer bait) urging Trump to work with Silicon Valley to turn the US military into an AI drone force. Palantir and Trump's anti-bureaucracy get positive mentions... https://shiitake.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:waplkqr2wuy2c4qbge6h6ed4&cid=bafkreicn7r62s5wewep2oveprf2t3alkjlrdwij6l62vutmxvlbmvtv4m4
“How billionaires took over American politics” The concentration of wealth among the richest Americans is unlike anything in history — and so is billionaires’ influence in politics. The USA has over 342 million people. Only 902 billionaires. It's when we say it's over. 🎁 link wapo.st/4rG7WHH How billionaires took over Ame...

“Próspera shuns the ‘network state’ label,” reports the FT. But Prospera is listed as a flagship Network State project on the OFFICIAL Network State dashboard of projects currently in motion...It's funded by Andreessen, Thiel and Pronomos, Balaji's best friends and key Network State figures. https://shiitake.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:waplkqr2wuy2c4qbge6h6ed4&cid=bafkreiceshvoe24t3eubx5v4jv53ac2fi6mbd2fgf2qoydrotxywi2dssu
The Financial Times finally covers the Network State cult. Is this tech fascism? "I mean,we are funding companies that will operate non-democratic cities...and if you're not into that you shouldn't move there," says Peter Thiel protégé Patri Friedman. https://shiitake.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:waplkqr2wuy2c4qbge6h6ed4&cid=bafkreigxcoyz5ffjda4o3jrup2ndktdtegxrode5vxbnzbxcskdqn3jzoy
Went out to hit some tennis balls and this really blew up. It's amazing how the Palantir guys are all going publicly berserk as the company becomes more embedded in our government. Seems like a massive national security concern. View quoted note →
