This dude is back to Nostr after a year of Twitter only. Tell @untraceable good morning so he stays this time. In fact, I’m even willing to forgive the stereotype of Monero being for criminals who point a gun at you to say hello. View quoted note →
Unprecedented Milestone! Tor hides locations. Arweave ends the concept of locations. Today Simplified Privacy presents an original, innovative, and trail-blazing framework for fully interactive Arweave websites with unprecedented privacy and censorship resistance. This open-source video gallery features bi-directional comments from the community, where the audience can comment with an Arweave wallet, but WITHOUT the need for a centralized server for any piece of the social network. Raw blockchain only. Next level privacy: The website owner does not know which gateway you used, or if you even viewed it. Unlike fraudulent Odysee, which is a Cloudflare front-end prone to censorship, our system features fully self-sovereign RSS feeds that can be plugged into RSS apps such as AntennaPod. Keeping your videos on Odysee because they typed the word "Arweave", is like keeping your funds in a Custodial KYC Exchange Account, because they typed the word "Bitcoin". Further our framework has a membership fee to comment, to not only replace Google/Youtube, but also Substack/Patreon. Additionally, we're rolling out a new swap site to get Arweave quickly, privately, and securely backed by our XMRBazaar deposit, and auto-signed with PGP. View it on any Gateway: Germany: https://shadow.arweaveblock.com Italy: New Jersey: Utah: Singapore: Press Release: Swap Site:
Nostr users be like “This meme is so true, let’s stop squabbling” But five minutes later, “Let’s fight Bitcoin vs Monero!” View quoted note →
I got the best regulator that a cypherpunk could ever ask for XMRBazaar’s @AilliA is on Nostr. Sorry I’m posting this 2+ weeks late, been crazy busy. But guys, this is still important, because if the parallel economy is going to grow, we’ve got to get off Big Tech infrastructure. And there’s still work to be done for the bulk of the Monero community on Reddit/Twitter View quoted note →
As our standards of society change, so does what you'd have to do to resist it. For example, 10-15 years ago, facial recognition was something you'd joke about with your buddies, at you enter the convenience store with the cameras that were offline and stored footage locally (only in the store). But today, a huge amount of remote work will ask you to do KYC involving pictures of your face and/or video footage that scans your eyeballs. In fact, you might not even be able to get paid work in many western countries, without some form of scans. As the US pushes for "real ID" which is changing the concept from requiring a name, to requiring a face. As the bar for what's required for resistance goes up, the burden to have privacy becomes greater, and many give up or fold. This is what motivates me to spend 10~12 hours a day working on HydraVeil, for such low pay. To try to help people not give up. And realize it can be a click away.
