I just had a terrible thought: what if the Electoral Amendment Bill just accidentally outlawed a bunch of libraries on election day and all advance voting period days (as they provide free entertainment and are frequently well within 100m of polling places) but no it looks like they did at least think ahead enough to exempt entities who provide free food/drink/entertainment in such places in the ordinary course of business. https://www.legislation.govt.nz/bill/government/2025/0186/latest/LMS1460037.html
