Every dominant currency in history has eventually been replaced. Shells, gold coins, the Dutch florin, the British pound. And โinfiniteโ currencies, like the dollar, have always ended in disaster.
Iโm reminded of this quote from Henry Ford: โIt is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.โ
