Thanks to Italiansatoshi for inspiring me to understand time in Bitcoin as more existential and philosophical, rather than scientific. I’ve seen many Bitcoin maximalists debating whether to call it “timechain” instead of “blockchain”—mostly because “blockchain” has become such a buzzword and is often misused. As far as I’m concerned, I could also just call it “chain” or, why not, “satschain.” For me, the name doesn't change the fact that it’s a continuous chain of data—in practice, a chain of satoshi transactions—that has a unique sense of time: one that emerges existentially from consensus and difficulty adjustments, not from scientific clocks. So, whatever you call it, the core of Bitcoin remains the same: a protocol where time and truth are intertwined in a living network.
