The Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G CPU did work in the ThinkCentre M75s Gen 2... but I had to do a BIOS update on the machine with the original Ryzen 5 CPU still in it. I also made sure to change the AMD Platform Secure Boot (PSB) feature to "Disabled" in the BIOS before putting the Ryzen 7 CPU in the machine. Busy day. Got lots of work done. Picked up more computers to work on. I installed Linux on an HP Spectre laptop for an older couple. Laptop has an Intel i7 seventh generation processor, so just out of Microsoft's support range for Windows 11. #Linux

This is my first fresh installation of Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) 7. fastfetch has replaced neofetch. This machine has an Intel 7th generation processor. An i3. I did have an i7-7700K but that CPU seems to corrupt data and require a fresh install. So I replaced both the memory and the CPU and it seems to be working fine now. I will test the i7 and memory separately in another motherboard to see if I can isolate the problem. #Linux #linuxmint #lmde7 #debian
