Of *course* #Calibre doesn't build cleanly from source.
#AskFedi can anyone ID what this connector is? At least I don't need to ask what it's for and what the pinout is! image
Australians - every single one of you who reads, boosts and scrolls past this message. I need every single one of you to write to your representatives. Every. Single. One. The #NDIS changed my and so many others' lives for the better - no it is not perfect but gutting it is not the answer. It should be available for every single person who needs it. It should not be left to a "computer" - there should be experts involved who know how to help and support Disabled people. Write to your representatives, please.
Solar curtailment is stupid, just let me give my whole street unlimited power for free.
Mastodon's DM implementation and especially the UI implementation by many clients is too fragile to use for anything important.
52 megabytes of package indexes to download 63 kilobytes of package. I think the industry has gone a bit wrong.
I have a really basic #networking question for #AskFedi If I have a 10 gigabit LAN and a 1 gigabit WAN, how do I stop the 1 gigabit router becoming a bottleneck? I haven't been able to get my head around multiple switches/routers - I guess that's because I've only started moving to managed switches recently.
[@dch]( ) Mac, Windows, Linux, BSD - I'm capable of breaking every OS. Haven't tried Haiku or ReactOS yet.
RE: Once again I find myself in need of being able to talk to someone directly in the Hyper-V team at #Microsoft. At least I'm on 25H2 this time. 2065.00 Mbps download from Digital Pacific without a Hyper-V switch attached, 1531 Mbps with. ETL trace of the one with the switch attached is twice the size of the one without (4 and 2GB) #AdamFindsBugs View quoted note โ†’
Update: It's Hyper-V's virtual switch. I run some VMs and this card was used to get VMs online. Guess I need to find a different VM host - I've never been able to get Microsoft to fix bugs in Win10 or Win11 Hyper-V. Why would an Intel (10GBe) and a Realtek (2.5) card have wildly different performance, but only on the Internet, not the LAN? Same speedtest servers, Intel gets 1300 megabit down, Realtek gets 2000+ Router with Aquantia NIC gets 2000+ using Speedtest-CLI Will need to boot this machine into Linux soon. #AskFedi #Networking
