Meet Checkers, the queen of.the small flock of really old chickens who.live over at the Basecamp Lodge! :) We were gifted old, less flighty chickens so that people staying there can get the homestead ambiance without the rooster. The flock of four gives us 1 egg almost every day lol. They are primarily responsible for composting table scraps and eating ticks and chiggers.
