Spent all morning learning how to swap out watch straps. It turned out my steel bracelet had a springbar in an endlink that wasn’t catching properly in the hole so I took it apart, tried on NATO and leather straps before going back to steel and swapping the top endlink for the bottom one until it clicked into place. Satisfying but very, very annoying work πŸ˜‚
This is going to be an interesting look at the process behind Christopher Ward creating their newest unreleased watch design:

I found an orange watch that I like! It’s called Mergulhador MRG3. Apparently it’s a revival of an original 1970’s dive watch. β€œOriginally designed and produced for both military and civilian use in the Portuguese market, the Mathey-Tissot Merghulador (Merghulador in Portuguese translates to "diver" in English) has, over the years, become a favorite among collectors and enthusiasts of vintage dive watches.” image
One of the few 3+ hour podcasts that I’ve watched straight through in one sitting πŸ˜‚
β€œA masterpiece gives form to the ideals of the particular epoch in which we live. Ideals can never be made immediately accessible to everyone. To be able to approach them, one must grow and develop spiritually. If the dialectical tension between the spiritual level of the masses and the ideals to which the artist bears witness disappears, it would simply mean that art had completely lost its purpose and function.” - Andrei Tarkovsky
Most powerful story I’ve ever heard from 3:51:00 onwards
