With Version 0.9.0, Yumyume introduces private bookmarking, giving you more control over what you share and what you keep just for yourself. 🌟 What’s New? ✔ 🔒 Private Bookmarking (via NIP-44) You can now choose whether a bookmark is public or private. Release 0.8.0 – Shakshuka with Feta & Fresh Herbs is out! This release is warm, social, and full of interaction. Just like sharing a pan of shakshuka with friends. Spiced tomatoes, gently cooked eggs, topped with creamy feta and herbs. A dish that brings people together. Version 0.8.0 does the same with social features, following, commenting, and re-bookmarking now on the table. 🌟 What’s New? ✔️ Re-bookmark Someone Else’s Bookmark You can now click the bookmark icon on an existing bookmark to save it as your own. The new bookmark will include a reference to the original profile that shared it. ✔️ Filter by People You Follow When you're signed in, the homepage will now default to showing bookmarks from profiles you follow. You can still switch back to the global feed at any time. ✔️ Follow and Unfollow Profiles You can now follow or unfollow someone directly from their profile. This works within the Nostr ecosystem, so your connections go beyond Yumyume itself. ✔️ Commenting is Live You can now add comments to bookmarks. This is the start of more interactive bookmarking. 🛠️ Fixes and Improvements - The bookmarklet now prevents bookmarking something you already saved - It also uses OpenGraph title and description when available, with a fallback to HTML title and meta description - The tag cloud now reflects the last 7 days of bookmarks instead of 30 days to improve responsiveness. This release took a little longer to simmer, but for good reason. While @npub1zqca...uza5 was celebrating Eid with his favorite beef curry and sweet shemai, @Jurjen de Vries was enjoying Easter (and possibly a bit too much chocolate, his guilty pleasure). Meanwhile, we were diving into @fiatjaf proposed NIP for social bookmarking. We looked into it together with @Sep (Pinja) and @Sebastix (CCNS) to better understand where things are heading. 🌟 What’s New? ✔ 📚 Migration to NIP-B0 with Kind 39701 We now store bookmarks using event kind 39701, based on the NIP-B0 proposal. The global feed prioritizes displaying kind 39701, with a fallback to kind 39700. ✍️ When you edit a bookmark originally posted with kind 39700, it is automatically converted to kind 39701 for consistency. ✔ 🏠 Unified Homepage: Feed, Tags & Bookmarking in One Place The global feed, popular tags, and bookmark creation are now all part of the homepage, making Yumyume more accessible than ever. This is the first step toward @npub1u656...332p vision of the three bookmarking modes: Discover, Share, Organize. 🔜 Up next, a visual tag cloud and clickable tag filtering to level up your discovery experience. ✔ 🐛 Bug Fixes & Refactoring Resolved various bugs and refactored the code for improved stability, performance, and maintainability.
