As someone that wants to see social media evolve beyond this still primitive stage it’s in, it’s really depressing that so many entrenched attitudes of “US vs THEM” have taken root across the social landscape. People take this stuff too personally. The goal should be openness in everything.
I’ve been insulated from network television for about 25 years. I learn a decade later what was hot and what wasn’t. Which is why I didn’t know The Mentalist had 20 million active viewers every week over most of its 7 years. That’s got to rank it among the popular shows ever once you discount finales (which always spike the numbers).
I always thought he was a reasonable journalist. Needless to say, a rethink is required. This is almost trolling. If you don’t want to discuss something, DON”T BRING IT THE FUCK UP!
I don’t agree. I think the pre-JFK America was a damn good embodiment of what the American Experiment intended: government by and for the people. Perfect? Not even close, but it certainly put brakes on massive wealth and the rule of law still meant something.

Trump will probably be gone by next January. Fox News will continue to corrode this democracy like no other force ever has in our history. They are an existential threat of the highest order.
You are minimizing Fox’s history and impact. His legitimacy was irrelevant without thousands of segments about him from 2015 on, rebroadcast thru thousands of outlets. Murdoch has used this same playbook on 3 continents. Trump is a clown. Murdoch is a monster.
