Soon I'll visit the US for the first time in 5 years
First commercial and US lunar landing in 50 years just happened. "Its existential [...] it’s over for govt control of space." -Pippa Malmgren
My girlfriend recently got into making sourdough bread. I never realized how similar it is to having a baby - tending to it at all times, waking up early/in the middle of the night to feed it, constantly googling whether you're raising it right...and of course getting something delicious to eat after all your hard work.
#Nostrasia is in 5 days! I spoke with organizer @mcshane about why Japan, how Nostrasia will compare with #Nostrica, what he's excited about this time, and much more. Check out our conversation on @Fountain and let me know if you're coming!
The term "Web3" has a bad rap in #Bitcoin circles, and for good reason. At the same time, it's obvious that our current Internet is rife with problems, problems that decentralized technology offers solutions to. I had the privilege of talking with Graham Krizek ( @npub1txp3...xacz ), founder & CEO of Voltage ( @npub15klk...4m73 ), about everything from Lightning to #Nostr to Ordinals to Taproot assets and more. Social media to mobile gaming. Perhaps "Web3" is beyond reclamation, but the next generation of the Web belongs to Bitcoin & Nostr. I think this episode is a decent one for Bitcoiners and crypto people alike. Feedback always appreciated! "Is Bitcoin the Key to Web3?"
New episode of Beyond The Price! Spoke with Koji Higashi ( @npub17n53...j6ds ), founder of Diamond Hands, Japan's largest Bitcoin/Lightning community, about how he came to #Bitcoin, why Japan is more focused on Web3 than Bitcoin but also why he thinks that might change, how Diamond Hands came about and what it offers the Lightning Network, a potential "Bitcoin mecca" in Tokyo, and much more. Give it a listen and let me know what you think! Fountain: Apple: Spotify:
It’s rarely my place to offer parenting advice, but technically this is pre-parenting advice so here goes: Don’t assign your beliefs to your unborn children. I see this a lot in religious communities (“Christian babies”, “Muslim babies”, etc.) but now I’m seeing Bitcoiners do it too. By all means, teach your children your beliefs, but don’t act like it’s a given they’ll embrace them forever. That only sets up a situation where they start to wonder (and you have to decide) if your love for them is conditional on them believing everything you do. Raise your children to think critically and be prepared for them to not agree with you on everything, even your strongest convictions.
My girlfriend made a finance joke I’ve never been more proud god I’m a nerd image
