📍Bank of England: "Multi-Moneyverse" - Stablecoins - Tokenised Deposits - Central Bank Money = All freely exchangeable 🎤In a recent speech, BoE Deputy Governor Sarah Breeden sets out her vision for a “multi-money” system where different forms of money including traditional and tokenised commercial bank deposits, stablecoins and central bank money are freely exchangeable – delivering the benefits of innovation to UK households and businesses, whilst safeguarding trust in money itself. Innovation in money and payments is happening at pace. ➡️ Checkout BBA's response to Stablecoin Consultation here: 📄.pdf ➡️ BBA's response to FCA's Crypto Consultation here: 📄.pdf ➡️ BBA's response to HM Treasury's Crypto consultation here: 📄.pdf ------ #BBA #UK #DLT #Crypto #Blockchain #Payments #Stablecoins #Tokenised #Money image
Which Blockchain would you choose to attest a Smart City’s millions of devices? 📍 A striking fact: By end of 2025, the economic impact of IoT applications in Smart Cities is estimated to reach £9 trillion per year. 🏙️ Smart Cities run on Trust. So, what does a Smart City built on #Blockchain look like? Every device — from parking sensors to traffic lights — attests its integrity through a blockchain node. Consensus algorithms ensure tamper-proof data validation. Smart contracts detect and flag malfunctioning devices instantly. Authentication, authorization & accounting (AAA) systems secure citizens’ data. ➡️ This #JBBA research is from British Telecommunications (BT Group) and presented at the British Blockchain Association’s International Scientific Conference (#ISC). 📰 Infographic: BBA’s Centre for Evidence Based Blockchain (CEBB) #SmartCity #Blockchain #Web3 #DLT #IoT #EvidenceBasedBlockchain image

Around 17 people die each day waiting for an Organ Transplant. Globally, one person is added to the Transplant waiting list every 9 minutes. 📍 NEW JBBA Research Alert: ➡️ "Ethical Compliance Framework for Blockchain-Enabled Tissue and Organ Transportation Systems" By Dr Elif Calik and Prof Malika Bendechache of University of Galway, IRELAND. This study introduces an Ethical Compliance Checklist – the first structured framework designed to guide blockchain platforms in ensuring autonomy, fairness, privacy, and trust in Tissue and Organ Transportation (T/OT) systems. KEY Findings: ✅ The #Blockchain can provide tamper-proof, transparent, and auditable records across every stage of the T/OT pathway – from donor consent to cold-chain monitoring and final transplant. ✅ The framework operationalises “Ethics by Design”, ensuring that data privacy, fairness, and #accountability are embedded from the outset. ✅ A real-world end-to-end scenario is presented, showing how #smart contracts, #IoT sensors, and zero-knowledge proofs can safeguard the entire process, while allowing regulators to #audit in real time. This work lays the foundation for more transparent, equitable, and #ethically robust healthcare systems – where technology directly serves human dignity and survival. 📖 Read the full paper here: This paper was first presented at the BBA's Annual International Scientific Conference in London on 4 April 2025: 🔍 Indexed in DOAJ and Web of Science | Reaching > 2.7 Million readers/month: 🌐 This paper will be featured in the upcoming *16th* issue of The JBBA (Oct - Nov 2025). 🎓 JBBA Editor in Chief: Prof. Dr @npub1xqgf...ye7k MBE FBBA ➡️ Submit your articles to The JBBA: #Blockchain #Transplant #Organ #Donation #Ethical #Compliance #Framework #Healthcare image
