Here’s an example of how the value of highlights matter. In the first image I just changed the background to be much brighter. In the second image I also changed the value of the highlights to fit their new surroundings. If I don’t do this the objects look out of place, like they don’t belong there. #oilpaintingtips #oilpainting #art #artstr
