One thing you guys didn't really touch on is that neuralink would not actually disintermediate thought at all, any more than uploading our brains into the cloud would result in anything more than merely simulated consciousness. Rather, human thought would be reduced to a data transfer protocol (instead of spoken language), and would take on the form and limitations of the same β meanwhile, neuralink itself would have access to your thoughts, and would no doubt monetize it for its own benefit.
