https://raw.githubusercontent.com/0n4t3/n_cord/refs/heads/main/screenshot.avif More vibes with more code. Fixed a bunch of icons and improved the layout, got a mobile view setup, and got it properly formatting the Nostr posts (wasn't properly tagging people). Certainly not going to revolutionize the ecosystem, but I think it's neat. Changes live at View quoted note →
I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and try vibe coding, if anybody's interested in checking out the results I made a Discord/IRC inspired Nostr web client. It's a single static html file and everything runs everything locally in the browser, so it's pretty flexible. Currently got a version running on Github pages: I've also got a git repo: For my very poor development skills I think it turned out pretty good, even if it's probably due for a bit more polish. At the very least I'll probably use it to keep track of tags I want to follow without needing to spam my timeline with them. It'll let you follow tags without an account and/or login with a Nostr browser extension. #vibecoding #ai #nostr
Testing my vibe code
New blog post - a combination of how I got into emulation, that I pre-ordered the Retroid Flip 2, and some other notes about different handhelds and controllers I looked into before settling on the purchase. #blog #blogstr #gaming #retroid #emulation
Had the service engine light turn on in my car. Ran to the store and bought a car diagnostic kit and it's just a minor emissions alert and nothing major luckily. And, since I was at the store, I bought cookies. All in all I'd say that worked out pretty well.
View Article → Made some progress on the book I was working on, getting everything written so far into one large document. The downloads page has pdf/epub versions of the work, though I also posted the entire contents to Nostr under NIP-23 to see how that would work. Posting on #Nostr seems to have mostly worked, although I noticed a few places where NIP-23 fell a little short. Since it's built on markdown things like images inline with text or being a specific % of screen size isn't possible. I had a few hyperlinks that led to images, and some clients show the link text + a clickable link, where some other clients just disgard the text and embed the image. Anchor links seem to not work in any client I've tried them in, although I'm not sure if that's the clients' falts or the NIP's falt. Also, it appears that anchor links (which include a hashtag as part of their markdown formatting) also are added to the post's tags. (lol, a bit of an oversight it appears) Reading on a web client seems pretty serviceable though. You might need to Ctrl + F to jump from chapter to chapter since markdown anchor links appear to be broken, and images might be displayed slightly unpredictably, but it seems to work. Reading on an app, though, would probably be nigh infuriating without markdown anchor links. Anyway, if you're interested in checking the project out the Nostr version or web/downloadable version might be worth checking out. It's free, so not much of an investment cost. #nostrwriter #writestr #scifi #bookstr #nip23
