These are the four fellows taking part in the Bitshala design fellowship, and the projects they will be contributing to. Very diverse projects covering merchant software, Bip 353 Human Readable Addresses, Ecash/Lightning/Nostr, and this very design community. Sanya will support the BTCPay team, partnering with Pav and Dstrukt. It’s a big project, so there is always a lot of design work that needs to be done, from fixing UX issue, to designing case studies, and tackling new features.

The first @npub1m495...u22l Design Fellowship has kicked off, complementing the existing program for developers. This collaboration with Bitcoin Design allows for 4 fellows to contribute as designers for 6 months to specific projects. ⚽ It’s kicked off! Today the first ever Bitcoin UX Bootcamp right in Kenya. Today 10 African UX designers sat together and had a journey of learning and collaboration 🌟 We learnt about UX Design Principles specific to Bitcoin, UX research, Bitcoin Development philosophy. Next to that students got hands on doing desk research and each group is assigned to an African Bitcoin wallet which they will be conducting usability testing on. πŸƒ Thank you to Femi for the presentation about Bitcoin Development philosophy and to CK for always showing up and connecting with the students. Thank you Marcel for the support in operations and logistics. Also to Mark for the help with setting up the usability testing structure which the students will be doing on 5 African built wallets. A big thank you to HRF for supporting this initiative. Many resources from the Bitcoin Design Community have been used in the bootcamp such as the Bitcoin Design Guide, Open Design Guide & UX Research toolkit. 🌟Last but not least to the students, without you this would not be possible.
