10,000 Mexican agents on the border to disrupt fentanyl trafficking: is this Trump's victory? False. It's just propaganda, it's marketing to voters, and only the narcos cartels will benefit. The Mexico-US border is 3,145 kilometers (1,954 miles) long. To put it in European perspective, it is longer than driving from Paris to Moscow (2.834 kilometers). As if that were not enough, the border alternates between desert and densely populated areas in which the cartels have been building tunnels and logistical facilities for decades. It is a very long sieve. 10,000 agents are useless. They are just security forces diverted from guarding Mexican territory, where the narcos already have total control, in defiance of the state, army and police. Trump has only given a wildcard to the narco-traffickers. International drug trafficking can only be solved by ending prohibition. image
Soon Beast Games will be over. Of the 1,000 contestants for the $5 million final prize, only 10 are left. In interviews with the finalists everyone, white, black, Latino, male or female, says they want to win to get out of debt. Betrayals, greed, lies, cheap shots, all to save their families from debt. As a European this shocks me and makes me realize that this is not about Obama, Bush, Trump or Biden: the U.S. is broken. image
Tales from the Land of Freedom and Bitcoin: For the third time in a matter of months, El Salvador censored Telegram yesterday, preventing access to the app on all five of its national mobile networks. The event “ accidentally ” coincided with Independence celebrations, and on the very day when anti-government demonstrations were taking place in the capital San Salvador. Organizers were using the messaging app to coordinate participants. This year, government censorship for Telegram in El Salvador had already been triggered twice, on the day of the President's inauguration and in July, to crack down on the Telegram group of CiberinteligentiaSV hackers, who have been very active in exposing alleged illicit and corrupt practices of the Salvadoran administration. But hey, Buky on X guaranteed that in El Salvador “you won't be arrested, censored (...) for exercising your right to free speech.” Why should we worry? #nostr fixes this Sources: - - - image
