ICYMI - we need to keep Mastodon secure, and to help everyone to enjoy the latest improvements. We support older releases for fixed periods (main release version β€œminus two”, for six months after release of latest; so 4.1.x ends 6 months after 4.3 is released). Per the support policy, End of Life for the 4.1.x series is approaching. We’ll also start to remove instances that run older versions from the list of servers on the website, as we retire older versions. Please upgrade! πŸ™πŸ» #MastoAdmin image

Open source and community project maintainers (and contributors) need to work hard on patience, empathy, and humility. It was something that took me a while, and even now after ~20+ years in the space, I can fail at those values at times. I know I've not always been the best at these things, and I still strive to learn. Arrogance is neither sexy or cool. You need to meet people where they area, and show up, sometimes even in person. One of the reasons that I've valued meetups and events.
