People that assert βthe plebs and normies of the world are too stupid for self-custody, running a lightning node, running a server, etcβ should not be trusted!
They do not believe in the enduring human spirit of the individual!
They are central planners who want to βsolveβ this problem for you with their miraculous solution - βyou will not need the sovereignty of a server, a node, a utxo if you just adopt the solution!β they proclaim!
Do not accept the empty promises of βoperatorsβ and custodians! Learn to use the tools!
The barrier of entry to digital sovereignty is and always will be, running a server.
If you do not run the server, someone else is running it for you, they are your administer. You are their subject. You must be your own administrator or else you will be, in some way or another, a subject.
