Has anyone used this? OTP (one time passwords) for SSH access. Sounds like an extra headache. I am working with a company that has to jump through some "security hoops" and adding MFA to admin accounts is one of the boxes to check. This may be one way to do that. #ssh #otp #security
I switched laptops. I was using a ThinkPad L390 Yoga. It had a touchscreen that I almost never used. My son was wanting to have a laptop with stylus to use with Krita for artwork, so the L390 will be going to him. For me, I am now currently using a ThinkPad T470s and liking it. Good to be back with a T series ThinkPad. T470s has a few drawbacks, namely the two internal batteries that are prone to fail and a bit more expensive to replace. Other than that, it is a really good design. #thinkpad #t470s #krita #L390
LMDE 6 EOL LMDE 6 will reach End of Life on January 1st 2026. Past that date the repositories will continue to work but the release will no longer receive bug fixes or security updates. To upgrade the 64-bit version of LMDE 6 to LMDE 7 visit . The 32-bit version will unfortunately not be upgradable. Proper support for 32-bit was dropped by many upstream projects (Debian, Ubuntu, Mozilla, Chromium) so we cannot continue to support this architecture anymore. #LinuxMint #LMDE #debian #linux
Today I sold a refurbished HP laptop... specifically because it had a DVD-RW drive. Customer wanted to be able to make DVDs of his own talks to physically give to people. I told him that some people may no longer have DVD players and that he could put a video file of his messages on a USB drive to give to people who didn't have a DVD player. #sneakernet
