50-year mortgages and 15-year car loans aren't surprising when financing basic consumer products over many months has been happening for years now. What struck me about this ad is that they're saying there's a sale but don't even mention the actual price...highlighting only the monthly installment amount. Are these pay-over-time arrangement things really that prevalent?? 😬

Last Christmas I received a gift basket from a company I work with. It was a nice gesture, and it was full of sample-size packs of things that (5 years ago) I would have enjoyed. Crackers, cookies, honey, mustard, pretzels, and 10 other items I can't remember. But this time, I couldn't eat a single one of those things. Everything had seed oils, refined flour, refined sugar, fillers, preservatives, or some other junk in it. Wish I had taken a picture of it but at the time it seemed so unmemorable that I didn't see the point 😂 That junk was better off in the trash than anyone's stomach.
