Started my open water recreational scuba course last night. Cold water (Michigan) can be a little more challenging, from what I hear, but that should make me a better diver. So I'm told.

Whenever I fill an above ground pool I use my hot water heater. I'm already paying municipal water, might as well make it warm enough to use. Kids appreciate it too.

First week at the new job almost in the books. Neat perks. Enjoyed a minor league ball game with the team on the company's dime, including a concessions allowance. Weekly CSA: scored some fresh veggies. I think I have a meeting tomorrow afternoon with beer provided. This on top of all the normal benefits stuff done really well. Next month, team building is a canoe trip.
