At #MatrixConf2025, Mathieu Velten from [@numerique_gouv]( ) shared the evolution of Tchap - the French public sector messaging tool based on @npub1m9z3...whzq 💡Tchap, a fork of Element, now has a server for each ministry and 375K active users as part of a large private federation. It is also part of La Suite, the collaboration platform integrating open source tools for public agents. Tchap plans to adopt open federation to connect with external parties, such as local authorities.

🇸🇪 Sweden is exploring open standards for interoperable communication across government. At #MatrixConf2025, Anna & Kenneth shared how Försäkringskassan’s SAFOS (using @npub1m9z3...whzq + Element) collaboration platform doubled in usage.
