Just a thought, but why is the text entry box for Mastodon on the web so small? It's a small panel on the left of my screen and it feels like I should be able to expand it, or pop it out to be a separate window. Now we have up to 1000 characters to play with, it feels like the editing window should be more suitable for lengthier musings. Unless I'm missing some magic button, or a setting somewhere. #mastodon #writing @npub1vl7j...f6g0

I'm still trying to get my head around Friendica and the overall benefit (or otherwise) over Mastodon. I know they're both AP platforms, and I get that they interact with each other. I have a Friendica account - maybe I should just start there. The only thing I can see is the length of the post and the ability to add files, but am I missing something fundamental. #pixelfed for photos #mastodon for words (and pictures) What does Friendica give me? #fediverse #friendica #mastodon

It’s amazing how quickly Pixelfed has gained traction over the last few days. Even more incredible that given the numbers signing up, @npub1q3uc...r5gz has pretty much managed to keep it going (barring the odd, small, hiccups).
