Wow, the fee went up just in time for Christmas... ๐Ÿ˜’
on rednote, people call Odin a "niu-niu" (their version of "newfie") which is to be understood phonetically but is written literally as "buttons": ็บฝ็บฝ isn't that just cute as a button :neodog_boop_cute:
It is very foggy today and we are giving the few other park-goers the โ€œleviathan emerging from the mistsโ€ experience (the leviathan wants cuddles) #dog #dogs #dogsofmastodon
I've noticed this is a common point of confusion, so for the record, the EU's USB-C charging law does not in any way prohibit other charging methods. It only mandates that if there are any ports on the thing at all, at least one of them better be friggin' USB-C
so, yesterday your local badidea had a "nervous system cut out for a moment there" incident and shattered her macbook pro. I was horrified and furious with myself beyond belief, but the good news is that a helpful young man at The Phone Lab in Gelderlandplein, Amsterdam resurrected it with OEM parts in just under 24 hours. A little ship of theseus'd, but the motherboard survived. (He kindly transplanted my lid stickers for me, though now they're upside-down...) I apparently dropped it so hard that it woke up thinking today was April Fool's Day in either 2021 or 2027. #amsterdam image
well, I am having another not-great day: after having successfully logged into my work laptop earlier today without giving a glancing thought to what my password is, I somehow proceeded to typo it ten times and the laptop went into Bitlocker protection mode (I think I must have managed to substitute a synonym for one word in the passphrase repeatedly). It gave me a URL where I can allegedly get the bitlocker recovery key for my work account. Except it blocked me because thereโ€™s been suspicious activity on my account.
