if your rube goldberg contraption for sending payments isn't permissionless, you will end up in the same situation as visa right now. you will accomplish nothing. payments have to be permissionless, even and especially for small amounts. don't trade this off or you will regret it
segwit was the stupidest and ugliest way to achieve what it was trying to do at the time. it was an ugly hack. there were much better, cleaner, and safer ways to achieve the same thing. segwit being bad is the reason why BCH exists. you're welcome, assholes.
