Dec 8, 2025 @ 12:52 Good afternoon family & friends❣️ And happy Monday! I got a late start - which seems to be becoming a habit - after a 16-hour night in bed. Finally woke up just after 11:00, made my tea, tidied up the kitchen while it was steeping, got the PoiBoiz out, fired up my laptop and started my browser - which, since a couple of updates ago, takes 3-4 minutes to get going - and visited my happy place so I could post before noon. Yes, people do post there at other times of the day occasionally but for the same reason I don't wear white after Labor Day or pearls in the daytime and count every step when I ascend or descend a flight of stairs, etc., I do not. Anyway I have no plans today, what will be will be. It is sunny but cold outside. I would like to say that I will accomplish much but apparently I'm no longer in control of that situation so we shall see. For now, I will put the PoiBoiz back in their respective homes and get dressed. Dec 7, 2025 @ 18:29 Good evening family & friends❣️ I will be going to bed shortly, today didn't turn out as intended (the 5th was a fluke hahaha) but I did get Don's Guest Post up at least, and got the pot of dog food - in this batch, because people ask: pork, beef heart, lamb, sweet potato, oatmeal, eggs, plus the usual additions - started which Pete is finishing up so that I can go to bed. Our fridge and freezers are getting pretty bare and we're trying to use up what we have before shopping again. We were going to go tomorrow but we can probably eke out another few days; then we'll do a Costco trip and stock up for the rest of the month. We've been using Sam's club for the last year, just for a change, but are going to go back to Costco now that our Sam's membership just expired. There is about a 2-mile difference in distance which is not great enough to warrant sticking with Sam's when I prefer Costco. Their meat prices are getting high but we now buy most of our meat from a couple of local butchers anyway. So it will be good to use up some things that we haven't been using before we fill the larders - so to speak - again. I will see you guys in the morning, good night❣️🥱🤕🙏🛌

Dec 7, 2025 @ 13:29 Good afternoon family & friends❣️ It looks like a bright day outside but with the curtains and blinds closed I'm not sure if the sun is out. Looks like we'll get a little snow with temps in the upper 20s today. I don't think I'm going anywhere. Pete and Leelan went to church. I want to "use" my new pain pill to see if it can allow me to go back but want my first time trying it to be while I am at home since I tend to have...um...unpredictable reactions at times to such things! Anyway, I finished playing through my 2nd "new" modern hymnal yesterday, so now I will work on the next stage, probably with the 1st book, one song at a time. And will be able to record them as I go now that my camera is set up again after the latest rearrange. Since this year I'm not able to do as much I'm thinking I will repost some of my recordings from past years for Christmas instead, unless I am divinely inspired to do otherwise. Either way this week recordings will begin again, about which I'm excited! I do plan to do some posting today as well, but we will see if I will be awake enough to do so 🙄😏. It is a gray but mild day outside, I don't plan to go anywhere. I have been playing my keyboard and some other around-the-house things, and thankful I can do them today. Doing a little online Christmas shopping as well. Just sat down to do Caturday and a short Saturday Social post when I realized I'd wandered off before completing the morning update. Dec 5, 2025 @ 12:22 Good afternoon family & friends❣️ I slept a lot last night (about 11 hours) which certainly wasn't unexpected, and today will likely be much the same, so I didn't make any plans. I do need to do a grocery shopping but today isn't the day and since I don't like to shop on weekends, and since the meat store is closed on Mondays, it will be a few days. Which is fine for me since I still have meat and eggs (mostly what I eat); if Pete needs something he will go and get it. I will write a health page update later to share yesterday's high points and takeaways. Today I did get the "morning 3" done - with a shorter mini-devo - and not sure that I will post anything else today, I'll have to see what I'm up for after my next nap.
