Nov 27, 2025 @ 10:58 Happy Thanksgiving, family & friends❣️ Just got up to a very windy morning here as a winter storm is moving across our Pleasant Peninsula. (Our state motto, in English, is "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you." The original motto is, "Si quaeris peninsulam amoenam circumspice") I haven't checked today's weather since just before I went to bed last night - about 12 hours ago - so things may have changed. But not the wind 🌬️🍃💨. We'll be going to Casey's in a while, which is only a few miles away so even if the roads get bad we'll still be able to get home. Anyway as you can see, I'm doing minimal updates on the site today; there will be no fursday posts although the daily video is of a thankful turtle 😄 that's as close as it will get. I will get Don's guest post up though. I will try to remember to take some pictures I can post (probably tomorrow) too. Meanwhile I have so much to be thankful for, and though I thank God daily I love having a day where I can meditate, pray, and focus on all He does for me, in spite of circumstances and situations, and give Him thanks. All day! While we enjoy family and feasting, that is what brings joy to my heart on Thanksgiving. Good afternoon family & friends❣️ As promised it has been a chilly and windy day, we got some snow but it didn't stick; other parts of the state have had a foot or more already. We're on the wrong side of the mitten to get the good stuff, usually. I slept much of the afternoon, then got up and worked on this site, as you will see from all the links below...about to eat a hunk of meat...then T5 time...then back to bed, most likely! Not an exciting day but definitely a good one! Tomorrow will be going to Bill & Casey's because they are the best, and looking forward to it as always. Thanksgiving is one of the days each year that I eat what I want to - which doesn't mean to go crazy but does mean that I will have some things I don't eat on a regular basis. (Although last year I did do some damage...IIRC...🤔...but I lived to tell, no harm done!) Anyway, this will be it for me tonight, I'm almost ready to go back to bed. Not sure what or how much I will be posting tomorrow but I will let you know in the morning I guess...sleep well❣️🥱🤕🙏🛌

Nov 26, 2025 @ 11:46 Good morning family & friends❣️ We were up and out by dawn today and I've already done a lot of driving (out to Clare & back to pick up HoWie) and shopping; we stopped at a small town grocery store - my favorite kind - to pick up a few things we needed and came out with a ton of stuff due to sales. Excited because they had beef organ meats I can use for dog food too! Liver is easy to find but they also had hearts and kidneys (which were only 99¢/lb!). They don't get a ton of organ meats in their food but I like to do about 85% beef/pork/fish/eggs of which probably 10% of that is organs when I can find them. Anyway, I'm done in from my day so far and need to sleep so I am planning to do the "morning 3" and Wed Wags later. Have a delightful day❣️✝️🎹🐕‍🦺🦜🙌🍅🥩🌿🤕🚌❤️

Nov 25, 2025 @ 20:34 Good evening family & friends❣️ Today was pretty much like every other day this week. We did get good news from Clare however, we will be able to pick up HoWie in the morning, he's done and ready with a new hose or pipe or something. Because bad weather and roads are moving into the area early tomorrow we will be leaving to get there when they open. Not planning on any other stops, also due to weather concerns J&E will be postponing their day also. Supposed to get hit with 2 storms, one tomorrow and the other over the weekend. So we will see how all of that goes. The only thing I did here after I posted earlier was update what I ate today (I've been losing weight daily for the last few weeks...12# in total so far 😳), not sure where my appetite went but I hope it comes back in time for Thanksgiving hahaha! Anyway I will see you tomorrow God willin' and the creek don't rise - good night❣️🥱🤕🙏🛌
