Nov 25, 2025 @ 12:38 Good afternoon family & friends❣️ A mild but rainy day today, we haven't had rain in a while so it's nice. I think for Thanksgiving it will either be mixed with snow, or turn into snow, the last I heard. I hope tomorrow is dry, as J&E are coming to do our Christmas decorations outside (among other things). Though I guess if it has to be postponed that's how it will be. Anyway, not making plans today; Pete is at an appointment at the VA in Saginaw. With as many appointments as he now has, I can't imagine driving from Clare as we used to do; we're about a quarter of that distance now. After living here for over a year I'm more used to city life but part of me will always miss the rural life, with the lovely Amish neighbors (and shopping!), the peace and quiet, the seclusion and serenity, the beauty of God's creation all around us, and the wildlife. This is where God placed us now, and I don't question His wisdom and purposes, though. Anyway I am not sure how I will fill my day, I am trying to reduce my online time - as well as other things until I recover - as much as I can so haven't been as active on social platforms as I was before which leaves a lot of time in my days; I will likely sleep more today but while Pete is gone I want to play my keyboard. I find if I use headphones I can control sensory input and volume more easily and am able to play more comfortably, so that's a positive! Nov 24, 2025 @ 13:02 Good afternoon family & friends❣️ It is a sunny day, supposed to be mild and breezy. I won't be going anywhere. And no plans. After getting up at about 11:15 I've been doing the "morning 3" and just finished that. And had my first cup of tea (which is like 2 cups as I make it in a big mug); today's combination was ginger/turmeric/cinnamon and pumpkin, sweetened with caramel pecan flavored sweetener and of course, the low carb creamer that I make which contains collagen as well. In the colder months I like creamy tea; in the hot weather I like clear fruity teas. Haven't had coffee in well over a month; though I love it, it doesn't always love me! Anyway, today will be about the same as the last few days: quiet, calm, and - no doubt - lots of sleep. I want to post something, not sure what, if I can - it will be a surprise to us all! Nov 22, 2025 @ 18:14 Good evening family & friends. I have been in bed, mostly sleeping, since yesterday evening. I got up late this afternoon to eat something and spend a little time with the PoiBoiz but will be going back to bed shortly. I updated my health page for those interested in details but basically, I'm just doing what I can do - or not doing what I can't do. No updates of any kind today, I'm sorry, and will see you - God willing - tomorrow. ❣️🥱🤕🙏🛌

Nov 21 2025 @ 21:21 (!) Good evening family & friends❣️ Today was about as I expected...except for Maxwell...that bird 🙂‍↔️... While Pete was sleeping after his treatment and I was in the living room with the birds, Maxwell fell back behind the table upon which their cages sit, way back in the far corner. I have the table covered with a sheet, and a huge heavy tote under it that it packed full with bird cleaning supplies, foods, heavy bags of crushed walnut shell, toys and toy parts...it is heavy! And since my accident bending over - well, I just don't do it now - so when Max didn't find his own way out after a few minutes I went to get Pete to help. All told, Max was trapped for about 20 minutes, by the time Pete had moved my furniture where I sit, then the tote (slowly and carefully because he couldn't see exactly where Maxwell was). When Max did finally stumble out, he startled us both by flying straight up between us and making a circle out of the room before landing - it was so quick! Max is absolutely fine, he was a little shaky so I put him directly into his cage with a treat in his dish so I'd know when he was settled, and that was only a few minutes before he climbed off his perch to get it. Once again it struck me that if something happened to one of my PoiBoiz I would be absolutely devastated! And they'll get extra cuddles from now on. Anyway, I slept most of the afternoon and well into the evening, as expected, and will be going to bed soon again so I'll be shutting down after this and will see you in the morning, good night❣️🥱🤕🙏🛌
