Nov 21 2025 @ 21:21 (!) Good evening family & friendsโฃ๏ธ Today was about as I expected...except for Maxwell...that bird ๐โโ๏ธ... While Pete was sleeping after his treatment and I was in the living room with the birds, Maxwell fell back behind the table upon which their cages sit, way back in the far corner. I have the table covered with a sheet, and a huge heavy tote under it that it packed full with bird cleaning supplies, foods, heavy bags of crushed walnut shell, toys and toy parts...it is heavy! And since my accident bending over - well, I just don't do it now - so when Max didn't find his own way out after a few minutes I went to get Pete to help. All told, Max was trapped for about 20 minutes, by the time Pete had moved my furniture where I sit, then the tote (slowly and carefully because he couldn't see exactly where Maxwell was). When Max did finally stumble out, he startled us both by flying straight up between us and making a circle out of the room before landing - it was so quick! Max is absolutely fine, he was a little shaky so I put him directly into his cage with a treat in his dish so I'd know when he was settled, and that was only a few minutes before he climbed off his perch to get it. Once again it struck me that if something happened to one of my PoiBoiz I would be absolutely devastated! And they'll get extra cuddles from now on. Anyway, I slept most of the afternoon and well into the evening, as expected, and will be going to bed soon again so I'll be shutting down after this and will see you in the morning, good nightโฃ๏ธ๐ฅฑ๐ค๐๐
